Sisters, Oregon may be a tiny town but its Cascade mountain backdrop is larger than life. So too are the many cultural opportunities residents enjoy year-round. Whether it’s the annual Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show or the widely-hailed Sisters Folk Festival, this small mountain town just northwest of Bend has so much to offer.
Don’t miss the Sisters Folk Festival October 1-3. RE/MAX Key Properties is proud to be a sponsor of the festival.
Festival attendees can look forward to an incredible lineup of acoustic musical performances, with special Covid-19 safety requirements in place this year.
In addition to 3 days jam-packed with live music, the festival boasts several innovative music and arts education programs, including The Americana Project. Young people in Sisters are mentored by national, regional and local guest artists. Insight is shared on the creative process, life as an artist, as a touring musician, and everything in between from the business practices in the arts to job opportunities well beyond Sisters.
Founded in 2000, the Americana Project is an innovative music and arts education program with broad community outreach. It is a collaboration between Sisters Folk Festival, Creative Educational Resources, and the Sisters School District. The Americana Project inspires youth to explore insight, skills and experience in the creative process and creativity, develop critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, and higher-level thinking through the arts and music education.
